The new Jaguar XE arrives After months of teasing, years of planning and huge sums of money spent, it’s here – the new Jaguar XE. Looking like a slightly smaller version of the XF, with an upright nose, longish bonnet, coupe-like profile and stubby tail, the XE is clearly a Jaguar – and a fairly conservative one at that – which is probably sensible when  entering such a competitive sector as the ‘Premium’ compact saloon market. Three new Maseratis coming in quick succession - Marchionne

Maserati is preparing a trio of new products for launch in quick succession, Fiat chief exec Sergio Marchionne has confirmed. In an interview after addressing the CBI business conference in London yesterday, he said a successor to the Quattroporte, a smaller Maserati and the Kubang would reinvigorate the Maser range. 'Maserati will increase its volumes by having three cars,' said Marchionne, confirming a replacement for the Quattroporte, the SUV and 'a much smaller four-door.

Hyundai issues recalls for faulty brake switch, loose bracket

Hyundai is recalling 186,254 Elantra vehicles from model years 2011-2013 to replace a support bracket on the headliner. Hyundai says the bracket can be dislodged during a side-curtain-airbag deployment and could injure the driver. In a crash in May, an occupant’s ear was cut when the driver’s side curtain airbag deployed.
